Latinidad must wake up to the fact that we are indigenous. And that white folks only have one plan for indigenous people: the same plan they’ve always had. Being Chicano and white-bodied, let me confirm to you that it’s true. I’ve seen the racism in all-white spaces. But this isn’t their land.

Anyway, you’ve won a deteriorating standard of water, air, land, and infrastructure. Elon Musk, an actual Nazi, is right up there saluting with glee too. Enjoy, Celebrate.

Politicians are not your parents. Your parents were models for how “people in charge” should look. If they were brutal, you expect leaders to be brutal. If they were collaborative, you expect politicians to be collaborative. They’re trying to punish you by taking away TikTok. Are you their child?

The fires in LA are arson committed by oil executives. These are NOT environmental disasters… it is terrorism perpetrated by petroleum investors who KNEW these events were coming. They gaslit us all for ages that things would be fine as they destroyed our Earth. They did this to us, to you.

Uncertainty can be exhausting, especially when love and hope feel tangled with pain. Maybe right now, the future doesn’t need answers—just small steps forward. None of us really know what's ahead, even when we think we do. Letting that be okay can sometimes soften the weight of it.

Kids manipulate because they have needs and don’t know how to get them met. This is how I know that those “in charge” are arrested children: they manipulate the economy, media, and government. They expect us to resolve their needs so they manipulate us, like babies do. WE’RE the adults, not them.

What’s the safest thing for you to do this holiday? Be with family? Not be with family? Work hard? Not work? Safety is the key to going forward, and the only requirement in life now. Once you’re safe, you will grow. Safety first, always. You can launch from a place of safety.
Start there.

“Politics” is another word for “ethics.” When people tell you that they don’t like your politics, they don’t like that you’re ethical. When they say, “don’t make this political” they’re demanding that you ignore your ethics… or align with something unethical. Speak about politics. Show your ethics.

Is this the adult you dreamt of becoming?

I’ve been denied care as a patient AND had my invoices denied after serving clients (even after I was told that everything was fine to bill). Insurance agencies both limit your coverage AND would pay providers nothing if they could. Their only job is to find ways to NOT cover your care. That’s it.

Creating more safety in the world often looks like propaganda by the deed (in the words of Malatesta). Mutual aid is part of that. Deferring to Indigenous elders is part of that. And stopping healthcare CEOs from continuing their violence can be part of that too.

Neglect is abuse. Not providing adequate housing, food, medical care… I can call CPS or APS anywhere and report this neglect to involve authorities. And yet LAWMAKERS refuse to provide us housing, food, healthcare, water… even clean air. Even per its own rules, they’re actively abusing you.

I know this nation’s driven by trauma because it doesn’t know how to stop. Stop violence. Stop police force. Stop terrorizing the poor and working class. Stop fighting, flighting, freezing, fawning over fascists. Just stop, breathe, take a few years off and stabilize our communities while we heal.

“Learned Helplessness” is about being so beat down by oppressors that they’ve annihilated your will… NOT that you aren’t “taking responsibility for your own life.” By threatening you with poverty and state violence, capitalists have beaten down your ability to imagine leaving this for a safer world.

Everyone complains about wanting “the most qualified people in charge of this government” but then hire the most ignorant white guys they can scrape off the bottom of their jackboots to run this place. Racist bootlicking (blatant or unconscious) was always the key qualification to lead here.
