The Manifesto

On Yoko Ono, Art that Breathes, and why participatory, relational art matters—especially in tumultuous times.
I raise a glass to Yoko while she is still with us, foremother, outsider, beacon, and the artist who first taught me that creation is something we do together.

I'm excited about this one. Cats, cross-dressing, community, and myth, Leonor Fini’s world was as bold as her art.

May’s insistence that art is not a luxury feels like both a challenge and an invitation. It invites us to ask:

Who gets to make art?
Who gets to be seen as an artist?
Whose labor is visible, supported, honored?

Questions which feel deeply relevant today.

Shit do I miss this?
Kamala Harris has rarely spoken out after leaving Washington in January. In her first major address since then, she acknowledged Democratic fears and warned of a constitutional crisis. Read more: nyti.ms/4cUxR7v

It’s horrific that there are students who lived through Parkland and are now going through a second school shooting at FSU.

The government has failed our children. It doesn’t have to be this way.

Dear @captmarkkelly.bsky.social Why is it that you are undecided on how to vote on the SAVE act which disenfranchises millions of American Voters, largely women? Save act saves nothing but a repressive government’s attempts to hold on to illegal powers. I thought you were one of the good ones

We just secured the liberal majority on Wisconsin's Supreme Court thru 2029! Susan Crawford's big win keeps the highest court in this battleground state from falling into MAGA hands. Thank you for all you did to elect this Indivisible-endorsed candidate (and make Elon Musk waste over $20 million)!

Donald Trump and Elon Musk are going after your Social Security.

Why?

So they can use the money you paid into Social Security to fund for tax cuts for billionaires and billionaire corporations.

I joined @booker.senate.gov on the floor to sound the alarm.
