Did you know, Noah's wife isn't named in the bible but in medieval times when bible stories were retold as mystery plays the story of the flood would include her - a buxom woman, who liked to party but played by a man, dressed as a woman, Mrs Noah was the original pantomime dame

Physicians were called to investigate William’s claims, but despite searching their medical textbooks, they couldn’t find any disease for which rotting wolf carcasses might be a treatment, so he had to pay a hefty fine and his revolting ‘medication’ was destroyed

On the 5 Jan 1300, the Mayor of London’s court heard the case of William, the rector of the Church of St Margaret Lothbury. William had imported a barrel containing four ‘putrid wolves’ which he claimed to be a treatment for le lou or the ‘wolf disease’ – from which he was suffering, so he said. 1/2
