Building an AI-powered English tutor for advanced learners.
Vege meatballs 👍
Even with a simple clustering task, Gemini on G Sheets beats the Copilot on Excel hands down. In comparison, Copilot looks like a chump. Seriously, getting the members count wrong by order of magnitude is embarrassing.

A somewhat controversial thought: working with Gemini 2.5 pro and Firebase Studio is less painful than working with a significant percentage of developers I met.

I don't think AI will ever get to that top 10-20% devs level though.

Over the last couple of days I was working with Replit's Agent v2 on a semi-complex web app. Couple of observations:
- way slower than v1 but more careful with changes and thoughtful
- this results with less iterations
- it adds debug output to the console and uses it for debugging

WTF with MetaAI in Whatsapp? I wonder how many users asked for it. Also, its own response to "how to turn you off" is factually incorrect.

Writing code with Gemini 2 Pro Experimental is quite an experience. I guess it was a learning experience for both sides 😂 First observation: it works much better with the wider context explained, like "this part is connected to other parts in such a way and the user experience should be..."

It was and still is a fun project. Created in Bubble starting with zero knowledge of the tool. The search works on chewing gum and spit, filters work on hidden groups and I really do not understand how I did workflows. But it works and people are using it. That’s what counts.

I've started experimenting with NotebookLM for couple of topics related to my hobby project that requires serious upskilling.
I'm very positively surprised how good the tool is. Synthesis, being a sparring partner and the audio are better then expected.
Addictive.

What's the most user friendly (for an enthusiast, not a pro) AI agents platform for building solution that gathers info from the web, filters /modifies it against users past interactions and prepares a summary? DB with user data sits on Google Cloud.
I did my research, but curious what you think. 🙏
