I've got an open illustration schedule at the moment, and I'd love to work on some book projects.

Sketches for my next portfolio card. I appreciate the Magic art team providing a lot of public examples of their art direction over the years, as that helped me to refine my sketches and pick which one to go with.

My most Tolkienesque trait is that I need to swap the names of two rivers around in my solo D&D game in order to get something to work right

The second I saw this artwork, I pounced on @tomkilianart.bsky.social (who must’ve thought I was a crazy person) to find out if the original or prints were available. When they were, I immediately had to have one! It’s now finally framed and on the wall where I can enjoy it. Thanks so much, Tom!

Why not start the domain game early with Medieval Farming Simulator?
Costs are completely whacky due to the need to interact with B/X D&D's funny prices, but the flavor is mostly based on Frans Bengtsson's "The Long Ships," where Orm spends his adventuring gold on raising a hall.

My contributor copy of Simon Roy’s “A Star Called The Sun” arrived!
It’s a beautiful book, and my humble future-cavemen are in excellent company. A bargain at any price.

I’m a couple of sessions on from this and things appear to be moving in the direction of small-scale wargaming.

I’m rewatching 1971’s The Twins of Evil. There’s so much great work from the extras in this, from the group of kids beating the absolute fuck out of a guy in the background of one scene to the one member of the mob who clearly shouts “stake!” while everyone else is chanting “burn her!”
1970‘s The Cry of the Banshee has everything you could want. Vincent Price and Hilary Dwyer in medieval costumes. A really good musical scene for some reason. A mad gravedigger who keeps popping up to shake his head at the proceedings. One of the bad guys is named Bully Boy.
