Gas prices always drop with the election of GOP, even prior to the assumption of office..which is contrary to all economic theory. A petrol-friendly admin should fortell increased demand and prices. Or are they just rewarding the public for voting correctly rather than responding to market forces?

So GOP now supports tariffs but wants to repeal the EV tax credit? The credit is in effect the inverse of a tariff, a subsidy benefiting domestically manufactured EVs. Subsidies have the same trade effect as tariffs but without the price increase harms to consumers that are associated with tariffs.
