It's me, Tom G, the guy behind the curtain at Tabletop Bookshelf!

In 2023 I saw an opportunity to build a new kind of shop that would serve as a platform for all the great work being done in the TTRPG space, bringing it all together in one place for people to discover, explore, and enjoy.
Build something special with me in Milwaukee

One thing that I think bears repeating is that there's no big funder behind the shop. Its growth was and continues to be powered by the community.

Shop management when it was growing baby business was like tending a garden -- arranging things to make sure the conditions are right for growth.

Now the shop is more like a train -- it's going to keep running, I just have to make sure there's fuel for the engine and that the tracks are clear.

this was not on my radar at all, but, wow, it's a top tier TTRPG book

highest level of production quality, evidence of lots of playtesting and design thought, and enough adventures to run a mini-campaign with very little prep

Worth your time, especially if you are a cat person 😻
NEW: Cats! The Conspurracy from Black Book Editions is a complete tabletop roleplaying game. You play Awakened cats with great psychic powers, and your mission is to protect The Conspurracy, the veil cast over human reality in order to make them think cats are only pets.

I don't think I have the energy or time to put together a Con Recap for Midwinter, but I can share a few thoughts.

This was my first smaller regional con. The vendor hall traffic was low. And my booth location was sub-optimal.

HOWEVER, I'm coming back next year. Here's why:
