Give Spotlight on Mac Superpowers with Raycast
I recently rediscovered Raycast and wanted to try it again after a few years. Raycast has infinitely more features than Spotlight (Apple's search tool).

"Will #AI replace me?" is the wrong question.

The right one: "Will someone using AI replace me?"

The threat isn't the tech, it's the colleague producing 3x output while you're still figuring out the login.

What is Google "Workspace Studio?" Gmail recently added a new button on the top right first called "Flows" and now "Studio."

This addition is a fantastic tool that anyone can use to automate actions within Gmail. Learn more:

Everyone in America MUST see this new documentary film from the makers of “20 Days in Mariupol.”

I thought I had seen plenty of realistic war docs. In comparison to this film, nearly everything I've seen is Sesame Street.

Well of course #Anthropic had to join the party and just dropped #Claude Opus 4.5.

In early testing, hands down the best coding model I've used to date. It's tool calling far surpasses #ChatGPT and #Gemini.

It's also much better at conserving context and not blowing out the context window.

#Gemini CLI is incredibly good, but I still find #ClaudeCode to be more effective in the terminal and as a VS Code/Cursor extension.

I tested the same prompts on both and Claude outperformed Gemini most times. It's better at tool calling and the Claude skills feature is super useful.

Why is it that every time a new #AI model launches from one of the big players, it’s instantly “The most powerful model ever.“

Gemini 3 by #Google does seem to be quite impressive, but most comments I saw were a few mins after launch…

At least give the impression that you’ve done some testing lol

Mail-in ballot protections, once bipartisan, have become a GOP target in their war on voting. Now, a Republican challenge to mail ballot grace periods has made its way to SCOTUS; but I will be there to defend it and continue the fight, Marc Elias writes.

#Google Gemini 3.0 looks like it will drop on the 18th, but you can try it early by accessing the latest checkpoint by using the mobile app in canvas mode.

This site was built in one-shot. The UI & animations are pretty flawless. Impressive stuff.

I’ll absolutely give it a try. Thanks for the recommendation.

I think my overall opinion is that the ease of access to creating something that looks “good enough” will have a larger negative impact vs a positive one unfortunately.

That said, there will always be those who use it effectively.

I completely agree. I’m not an artist. I’m actually writing a follow up to add a bit more detail, but you make a good point.

Personally, I think if you are yourself an artist and you decide to use AI as a tool that’s much different, and not really what I was trying to focus on.

If you're a researcher, or do research frequently, this is my favorite feature. It's effective and pretty much set and forget.

It's called "Wide Research" and it does about the best job (maybe #Claude) outperforms it slightly) collecting sources.
