So on our flight from Santiago, Chile to Auckland, New Zealand, David Seymour was sitting across from us and one row back. He spent a hell of a lot of time picking his nose, like he was trying to extract the last public servant from Wellington.

*** STRANDING UPDATE ***
The pod of pilot whales that were refloated last night were sadly found stranded 4kms along Farewell Spit this morning. Two whales had died overnight.

Project Jonah medics, Department of Conservation, Manawhenua Ki Mohua, Cetacean Ecology Research Group - CERG, Tasman Bay Guardians, and volunteers worked hard to refloat 15 whales this afternoon.

This afternoon almost 200 people spent 4 hours in the water guiding the pod of 15 pilot whales out to deeper water.
