They can complain about him all they want, but this is Trump’s gift to Ford & a Canadian capital fantasizing about rolling back labour, environmental & indigenous rights by decades.

The “section” of the US ruling class most committed to rethinking US foreign policy in an increasingly multipolar world is led politically by those the least capable of diplomatically maneuvering through it. The US in the 3rd decade of the 21st c; diplomacy in the age of social media & reality tv.

Here’s my response to the resurgence of Canadian nationalism — left & otherwise — in the context of the tariff war: a political dead end, we need instead a much more far reaching, & internationalist, response animated by struggles from below.

We Need Workers’ Solidarity, Not “National Unity,” in Response to Trump’s Tariffs

Weakening environmental regulations, more pipeline expansion, defending “our” critical minerals — it’s clear Cdn capital & the state are exploiting the crisis caused by Trump’s tariff war to pursue what’s always been their plan but which is made much easier if we accept _their_ nationalist agenda.
Trudeau’s comments that Trump wants critical minerals highlights U.S. reliance on Canadian resources
Prime Minister said Donald Trump wants to annex Canada to gain access to critical minerals, adding to existing signs that the U.S. President realizes the value of Canadian resources to his country

Trump, the anti-monetarist, has a different theory of inflation.

“If the Fed had spent less time on [diversity, equity and inclusion], gender ideology, ‘green’ energy, and fake climate change, inflation would never have been a problem.”

Just an “awkward gesture”according to the msm & zionists? By the man doubling down on his support for the AFD, speaking to its election rally today & insisting “There is too much focus on past guilt, and we need to move beyond that.”

Clearly in-fighting in Trump circles isn’t bw a non-far right (the tech billionaires) and the far-right MAGA core, but bw far right factions. Whether they’ll be reconciled or it’ll combust, supporting visas for tech workers doesn’t negate support for the European far right or giving nazi salutes.

Ya, running not one but two different central banks and being on the board of major multinational corporations means you're totally outside politics. A real fresh face. You can totally trust him.

Another expression of how politically useless and bereft of vision the NDP is. Singh’s default response is to defend the free trade status quo premised in the deepening property rights of capital at the expense of workers & the environment.

Not that this climate initiative by financial capital should’ve been taken seriously but it’s telling that with Trump’s election they’re not even going to pretend they’re doing anything meaningful.
