today i got my comp copies of The Transition by Logan-Ashley Kisner, which I did the jacket art for, that was already exciting in itself.

then i read the author's note and i am a mess. after reading all the news in the last week or so, i am simply just a mess.

An overwhelming number of those bills were related to education and health care, targeting children's access not only to medically transition but to social transition as well. For an untold number of youths across the country - around the world - the horror of forced detransition is very real. Beyond this page, please be aware you will be reading about transphobia, sexual harassment and assault, body horror, and the death of several animald, both on and off page. To those who read on - and to the trans kids in particular - I want to say that these real world horrors are not in any way new. That does not make them any less terrifying to face. You have every reason to be angry, upset, or afraid. But in 2024, 625 pieces of anti-trans legislation were introduced, and 462 of them failed. I hope this story gives you courage. I'm here to tell you it's going to be okay."

I did a thing instead of doing ArtFight🎉
The protogen Ohm is center frame holding a butterfly, with eyes on its with, up to her visor. In the bottom left text displaying the definition of resistance in an electrical context is present, reading: re·sist·ance /rəˈzist(ə)ns/ noun the degree to which a substance or device opposes the passage of an electric current, causing energy dissipation. Ohm's law resistance (measured in ohms) is equal to the voltage divided by the current.

Tree

This time the artist measured their paper correctly but they used a different weight of paper so there is slight tearing on the surface of the paper around the edges where it was taped down. The 3"×3" painting is held in the artist hand in slightly uneven lighting as they forgot to turn the other light on. In the background a comically long pencil is seen among their pencils.
