Sources have confirmed that Camille McArdle, chair of the MN Racing Commission has resigned. McArdle, a vet, has been on the Commission since 1993 and chair since July ‘21. Her term wasn’t scheduled to expire until 6/3/29.

Shakopee, Minn. -- Canterbury Park’s request for a 51-day horse racing season in 2026, running Saturday, May 23 through Saturday, Sept. 19, was unanimously approved today by the Minnesota Racing Commission. Racing will be conducted on Thursdays and Saturdays at 5 p.m. central and Sundays and holidays at 1 p.m. Additional race dates include Monday, May 25, Friday, July 3 and Wednesdays, July 22 and Sept.

Beshear: Let me be clear. The president has both the funding and the authority to fund snap during a shutdown. In fact, every other president in every other shutdown has done so. People going hungry in this instance is a choice that this president has made.
