On my last night as MP, I thank Jack Layton for inspiring me to run for public office.
Jack made me believe it was possible to do politics with integrity. He loved our country and he loved people.

I abhor the Notwithstanding clause, so I’m gonna vote for the guy who understands the dangers of using it.

It seems to me that the Russia-USA meeting is like the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact, except that instead of dividing up Poland, this time two fascist powers are deciding how to divide up Ukraine. The USSR never did return the piece of Polish land they occupied in WWII.
