Realized it’d be incredibly fitting if the first true dynamic Bucks wing player since Khris Middleton was also a trade afterthought.

Wrote a lot on Milwaukee struggling to find these players and how Ousmane Dieng appears to fill the gap for Bucks OnSI: www.si.com/nba/bucks/on...

Bucks fans after seeing Ousmane Dieng start at the 3 one time

Sneaky detail about this game that I have loved: AJ Green noticed the physicality the officials are allowing and is absolutely bodying Thunder players right now. More or less pushed Dort who fumbled the ball out of bounds.

I love it. Match the energy.

Man 48 minutes of at least one of Ousmane Dieng and Pete Nance on the floor for the Bucks feels like heaven after some of the hoop we’ve watched this season.

Imagine reading that sentence in September lol.

OUSMANE DIENG IS THE BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD

Can’t believe how physical the Bucks are playing defensively. Just night and day from the weak efforts we’d see on their losing streaks. Wow

Big time end to the half from Chet Holmgren who went from dead quiet to very loud in term of impact. Bucks still should feel good about a 12 point lead in OKC but there’s a lot of work to do.

Need Sims to keep himself available, none of the wings can handle Chet.

The vibes of the post deadline Bucks are actually immaculate. They’re striking a good balance of asking KPJ and Cam to shoulder offensive load but also keeping the ball moving and finding shooters and cutters.

Shoutout AJ Green who is taking a big playmaking step this season.

Awful illegal screen by Sims especially given I’m sure it was relayed to him just how little the Bucks can afford him in foul trouble with Turner out after the first two he picked up. He’s got to be much smarter.

Hearing the Prime broadcast gas up Jericho Sims in a factually correct manner really underscores how big of an upgrade the new partners are for these national games.

Ousmane Dieng in the starting five tonight! I love it. Revenge game plus give him as much opportunity as he can handle. Let’s cook

Brutal. Was just thinking how excited I am for this game to see if the Bucks can build off yesterday. That gets a ton harder with no Turner.
🚨Late scratch: Myles Turner is OUT tonight for the #Bucks with right calf soreness.🚨

Cam Thomas made lots of his trademark hesi tween jimbos vs Orlando but I was thrilled to see 7/20 shots (35%) in the restricted area.

In five seasons with Brooklyn he was at 12.7% of his attempts within 3 feet. Way more sustainable offense if he’s regularly getting to the rim.

Bucks are now tied in the loss column with 10th seed Atlanta and actually have one fewer loss than the Bulls who are still ahead of them by half a game. The tank has stalled. It may begin rolling again tomorrow night in OKC though.
February 12, 2026 at 2:57 AM
Unfortunately I was not actually all that encouraged by the Dieng game. He did very little besides chucking threes and his track record doesn’t indicate he’ll continue to hit them at a strong clip. Hope to see a more varied revenge game from him in OKC.

CAM THOMAS WITH THE DEEP DAGGER!!! With Giannis and Thanasis going crazy on the bench this has been such a fun second half
February 12, 2026 at 2:29 AM
Happy for Jericho Sims, who I really think has solidified his NBA future these last few weeks.

Bucks are throwing him as many lobs as they can and he’s athletic enough to slam a lot of them home. Fights hard on defense and the boards too. A valuable specialist center.
February 12, 2026 at 2:09 AM
This is the vision with Cam Thomas for sure. Very shorthanded Bucks in term of shot creation with no Giannis/Rollins, need somebody who can just put the ball in the hoop. He’s definitely qualified for that job.
February 12, 2026 at 1:52 AM
Great run for the Bucks. Dieng hitting threes is probably going to be the determinant for him being a true NBA player. Moves well at his size and can make reads, but the three ball pulls it all together. Encouraging game so far on that front to say the least.
