Amplifying the unheard, ignored, oppressed, dismissed, traumatized, and injured voices is some of the most important work you can do on a social media platform.

We need to step back from this shock and awe onslaught and focus on the things over which we have control.

Creating beautiful, emotional, joyful art for the sake of expression preserves humanity. It gives us a point of connection beyond politics.

I’m looking for the fiber artists, sewists, quilters, knitters, crocheters, designers, crafters, jewelers, painters, and artists (omg don’t be mad if I missed you, I haven’t had coffee yet) of threads so we can all hang out & share our makes, WIPs, & joy in spite of the general shit state of things.

I’m taking applications for anyone who wants to come be my mom for a few days. Just sit there and tell me I’m doing a good job. Occasional hugs are appreciated and welcome. Also birthday money in a thoughtful card would be cool but not required.

I simply cannot believe how many people have found us on the other platforms. It’s been a wild 48 hours with over 800 new Tiny Band members!
