When this was released there was a pretty severe sound problem. I got up and went to talk to a manager (very unlike me 😅) by The Wizard & I, and they told me it was a sound mixing issue. I was PISSED that Cynthia Erivo's voice was not blowing people out of their seats as it should have been. #hatm

I don't love Goldblum as the Wizard. It is just a little too Goldblum-y for me, and the incredible Joel Gray originating the role, it was so unique and quirky. Closer to the original Wizard of Oz too, not that it always has to be that way. Harumph. #hatm

I thought it was because she isn't fully in control of her powers yet and they are mostly driven by emotion, and she's developing feelings for him. But could also be foreshadowing of some sort... #hatm

I just adore her. She also played the role of Sally in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown in the 1999 Broadway revival and as a fellow petite/short person, I hear her voice in my head ALL THE TIME #hatm

I wouldn't be surprised to hear a "Hocus Pocus Musical" in the works, given how many other movies they've turned into musicals recently 🤣 Beetlejuice, Groundhog Day, Dirty Dancing, Death Becomes Her.... #hatm

My high school choir took a trip to NYC to perform at a few places and while the group went to see Hairspray, my mom (one of the chaperones) opted to take me and my 2 best friends to Wicked. Original cast, early 2004. Still gives me chills!! #hatm

The fact that with all the delays, this was finally released in November 2024... Yikes. As we walked out I told my friends (who hadn't seen it before) "man, Part 2 is going to be BLEAK." Knowing what is coming...oof. #hatm

Next to Normal is the most recent musical to devastate me (in a good way). Having a mentally ill parent very similar to the one in that musical... Ugh, the feels!! The accuracy! Such a brave depiction of disability #hatm
