This is a fab find, lovely working HP 3438A Digital Multimeter I plan to put to some good use!
Spotted the HP-IB interface port around the back so now I'm on the lookout for the Acorn IEEE488 cheese wedge interface so I can hook it up to one of my BBCs!

I was very surprised when I fired up this lovely old Crown TV/Radio set from 1970, that it still worked! ....and remarkable radio reception on it too.
Managed to pull in Radio Derby on AM. A feat that some of my more modern digital tuned radio receivers can't do from where I live!

Lovely tape transfer project came my way.

A collection of tapes from local music legend Les Hunt. Most dating back to the dim and distant 1970s.

First one is a live recording of a gig in 1978.

Cotton buds and a bottle of IPA at the ready! These old tapes make a mess of the playback heads!

A lovely bit of hi-fi kit found its way to me this past week.

A Technics SU-V550 Stereo Amplifier, SL-L20 Turntable and an RS-B355 Tape Deck.

This stuff was so dirty. A lot of cleaning required and a replacement drive belt for the turntable.
The tape deck needs belts too, but one job at a time!

Imagine being on this flight...

Turns out a friend of mine was on it! Everyone ok, but very much as they say, a 'brown trouser' moment.

I was never really super exciting about 16-bit computers. They kinda just passed me by. I used 8-bit BBCs until the bitter end, then moved up to a 486 PC.
That said, I'm finding a new found appreciation of the Atari ST.
It really was quite a nice computer, wasn't it?

Looking forward to a lovely local history project that's just come my way.
It involves the use of this lovely cine film projector from the dim and distant past!

For those not familiar with just how noisy old daisy wheel printers were, here's a little video I made a while back, when I first set up my daisy wheel printer! #writing #vintagetech #8bit

Printing to a Juki 6200 Daisy Wheel Printer from a BBC Master
I've always wanted a Daisy Wheel printer. I managed to find a Juki still boxed, with all its accessories!

Writing a book on a computer made in the 1980s is definitely a fun way of working.....Not entirely sure when I'll get it finished though.

I don't have any Electron ROM cartridges yet.
Being a bit of a Forth fan, I'd love to pick up Forth on one, but they're a little hard to find!

Any suggestions for some fun/cool/intertesting Electron Cartridges?

It is a Plus 1 interface for the Electron.
Never had one of these before. Actually I've only recently picked up my first Electron too.

Been a while since I acquired an 'Acorn thing'.
First things first, give it a clean.

Can you tell what it is yet? 😄

Found this little spinning rust-devil lurking in an old digital camera.

Still works too!
