Introduce yourself as what almost killed you:

Hello, I’m a patch of sheet ice that I hit at approximately 70mph on a black slope in Zell am See when I was 14 (with no helmet on). My bindings froze solid and I ended up in the krankenhaus for weeks with multiple fractures.

I still ski.

Hello, I’m sj’s first husband. I was violent and terrorised her while we were together then stalked her when she left me. I was arrested when my father reported to police that I was going after her with a gun.

I have logged off and will be having my first break of longer than 4 days this calendar year.

I’m not a violent man, but all I want for Christmas is to wake up tomorrow and see that Jake Paul has been sparked the fuck out inside 30 seconds.

It’s not too much to ask, is it?

. @mrjamesob.bsky.social how’s this for an unhinged headline. Look at when they said Labour came into power.

Agreeing the heads of terms for a £37m solar farm at 9am. Feels like progress, at least locally to me.

. @mrjamesob.bsky.social how dare you besmirch the character of those that don the “quarter zip”. It’s the perfect smart casual jumper. It shows off your shirt under ear without being uncomfortably tight around the neck.

The fun of my job. Someone was supposed to repay us £5m yesterday. They paid it, but not to us. We went £5m overdrawn as a result. They’re now trying to work out who the hell they paid £5m to, get it back from them, then give it to us.

Walking out of my daughter’s flat in Madrid to go and catch a flight home, having just settled her in her new home for a year feels very weird!

Well the @radiohead.wastehq.social ticketing site absolutely fucking sucks. In the queue then when I got to the purchasing part it’s blocked me. Exactly the same thing happened to others I know too. And it’s nothing to do with my iPhone settings. Absolute bullshit.

One of my nephews got a 4 A*s, which whilst incredible, and I’m massively proud of him, he’s basically shat on everyone else’s A level performances for the rest of eternity.

“If you’re in a hotel”…….

The mind boggles. Who cleared this for posting? If you happen to be in a hotel somewhere and you also happen to deliver stuff, DEPORTATION FOR YOU!

When the CEO is getting recommended for an OBE for a project that you single handedly delivered yourself, from concept to full delivery.

One of the reasons I love my village….. daughter back from uni is working at the pub. I was there for a pint and it was rammed so jumped behind the bar to help. On the way back, I popped into the community pub for a pint. Saw a massive queue so went to help for 2 mins. Got away an hour later 🤣

I had a dream last night that Farage was coming to dinner and to stay at my house (actually the house I grew up in, in Swansea for some reason) and he had pre ordered 20 assault rifles that were made of plastic for me and him to have a duel (presumably to the death) with.

People who leave their bag on a seat on a train that is absolutely packed, with 100s of people standing, should be banned from sitting on a train for the rest of their lives.

Just watched my son drive off for the first time on his own (having passed his test this morning). He’s making full use of not having to feed the wheel anymore 🤣

You're going to hear (or may have already heard) a lot of nonsense about the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), so here's a thread to clear it up, and give you the actual facts.

Farage, since taking over a few councils, seems to have set his sights on LGPS.

Re profiling this to put Durham to the top. Craftywank has been installed as the deputy leader and cabinet member for finance.
My money will be on Nottingham first. Possibly Durham second, though I think the latter may do something more stupid like act ultra vires.
Prediction. Every council that Reform takes control of this May will issue a s114 notice before the next elections.

Well that was a thrilling (genuinely as I’m a political nerd) day on the count control team.

So interesting to see how Reform affected the vote. Locally, it allowed LD or Labour candidates in, which was against the national trend. Quite often at the expense of genuinely hard working Tories.
