I generally agree with @gruber.foo about Apple stuff, and really love my iPhone Air. But it‘s definitely not the thinnest iPhone. It’s as thin as its thickest part.

Contrast this with the response of a president who was an actual decent human being.

Border Patrol agents assembled outside a Los Angeles museum where Gov. Gavin Newsom was holding a rally and news conference on congressional redistricting. Local elected officials expressed outrage that the agents decided to stand there in a brazen show of force. www.nytimes.com/2025/08/14/u...

@bsky.app I can’t seem to “like” posts using the iPad’s mouse cursor, BTW. Only touchscreen works. Perhaps you could use a different dom event listener?

The other day, I was using my iPad and it was getting really hot. I kept thinking it’d be nice to open up something like Activity Monitor and see what was wrong. iPad OS is still such a disappointment. Something like an M4 12-inch MacBook would be perfect.

Functional programming hates this. Things should be deterministic. Humans are not logical.
Mental health is so fascinating. You can have the same day, do the same activities, eat the same food, spend time with the same people and based on chemicals in your brain, it can be the best day or the worst. The facts of the day are the same. How you feel is truly all in your head 😅

Just finished Seasons 2 of two very bleak, depressing, albeit interesting to watch shows. I guess they’re preparing me for the next 4 years.
