Just finished my first mini painting/ACEO, and it’s brimming with childhood nostalgia. Super Nintendo was one of my earliest loves in the world of video games. I spent countless hours with that little grey controller nestled in my hands!

Mini painting update: the ACEOs are officially underway. Underpaintings are complete and the colors are already singing. Most of my pieces begin with a neon pink base, it keeps everything feeling warm and luminous, and I love when little hints of pink peek through in the final layers.

A day late but here's my contribution to Inktober day 1! When looking for reference photos I came across this Japanese officer from 1904, Gaishi Nagaoka, and I just loved how epic his mustache was! Like how did he even get it styled like this!!

When I'm too tired to paint details, I like to turn to freestyle abstract art.
