As a part of cost cutting at work they removed our soldering stations. They want us to box up and ship everything two miles away for soldering jobs.
So I had to buy two soldering irons and use them like chopsticks on some 0402 low pass filters rofl

I've been interviewing possible interns for the summer today. It's crazy to me how many engineering students have similar stories of group projects going off the rails due to someone vibe coding a critical portion of some design.

2025 begone! It was an interesting year. I started the year coming off medical leave for burnout so I've spent the year learning to not be such a "corporate wolf"
Sabbatical was amazing being able to feel like my old self for a while. Visiting furs and making friends with new furs was great !

We just watched Anaconda (1997) and wow it was funny. We loved the rubber hose snake and vore scenes.

We watched Klaus in the theater yesterday and wow that was a ride! It is beautifully done hand drawn animation followed up with CGI lighting effects.
Also James Baxter was involved so cant go wrong there! He's the coolest

A few years back work wanted me to design a test tool to measure audio glitches and audio delay for new laptops coming to market.
I simply selected a touch tone decoder chip, dialed it to ultrasonic, protoboarded it in an afternoon, CAD and fabbed 4000 units and called it a day !

*) Taught someone how to look for noise in a CPU voltage regulator circuit w/ oscilloscope
*) Trained 3 AI-models to predict performance
*) Wrote a 4th order Butterworth filter in Python
*) Three presentations and ran a meeting
