I am saddened and shocked by the news of the death of #Michael_Burawoy, to whom we owe the flourishing works on public sociology. I had the pleasure of being present at his keynote speech at the ESA 2024 conference on "Exiting from Settler Colonialism: Comparing Israel/Palestine and South Africa"
