Okay, this is a general "ask the ether" question, but has anyone played with Stoat (formerly Revolt)? I'd like to try hosting a server locally at some point, and with it being an open-source alternative to Discord, I just don't know anything about it yet.

A full 8 hours of doing a body and face overhaul on @raithenekomata.bsky.social, and this is the results! I genuinely couldn't be happier with it, and they seem to be satisfied, as well.

Defeated by 2000's Apple and their MOLEX wiring being like two inches too short... Also pretty sure that's the original PRAM battery back there, so gonna order some parts to be safe.

Yep, had one as my first computer pretty much until I turned 18, got married, and moved out back in 2014. Dad bought a palette of them for like $400, kept a handful, and sold off the rest after fixing them up for $100 a pop, so I'm intimately familiar with the G3 family. ๐

I forgot to share this in all the excitement yesterday, but look what Drunk Tia found! Apparently I should have more drinks, because at $150 for an utterly pristine 400mHz iMac G3, I'm absolutely stoked.
Got a cheap SSD in and a SATA-to-IDE converter, so gonna see about OS9 today~

So, you all know I'm an audio nerd. My production equipment includes several Shure mics, several sets of DJI wireless units, Rodecasters and Yamaha mixers, and vintage hardware besides.
Tonight, we'll be in the trenches, trying out some of Fifine's latest affordable gear! Stay tuned for a treat~
