Maybe, but I would ask "how can we make this so?" Because this idea is the cause of many (mostly women) wasting their lives in unfulfilling romantic relationships. It's a toxic idea, and women deserve freedom from it.

Where though? For all this "Black ppl are staying home" talk, in REAL LIFE I see Black ppl organizing, supporting immigrants, Palestine and everything in between. Is this about something in particular that happened?

A Haitian woman just died in ICE custody. And it still won’t get as much credit as any other immigration story cause black and woman. Telling us to mind our black business when we’re the one amplifying that news is insane.

That said, I do want to grapple with why I don't feel the same way about this as I do about that creole lady's "super Black" shows. Maybe bc it feels more authentic here? But they're both Capitalists so 🤷🏾

She sums it up well in the end, although it's worth reading. Those who don't have any guiding principles will go Nazi every time. Those unswayed by the promise of power won't.
Still probably one of the best pieces ever written about the people who do go Nazi and what that looks like. This is from the 1940s but every time I read it the more I appreciate the game Dorothy Thompson played.

It should be illegal to serve only one meal on flights longer than 8 hours (looking at you Finnish Air 🤬). Making ppl pay for food after they've already shelled out for tiny cramped blood clot inducing seats is they type of thing that gets CEOs- *call drops*
