I'm also tired of hearing about how he was a citizen. As if non-citizens forfeit their right to life these days. His citizenship status is irrelevant.
People already working hard to prove how perfect Alex Pretti was. To show he didn't "deserve" to be killed. But it's a trap folks. You're only feeding into a dynamic where people who are considered lesser get no protection. You don't have to be an Alex Pretti to deserve to live.

So if someone bombed our nuclear facilities in Texas or Tennessee or wherever, the US wouldn’t consider it war and would basically be cool with it? Am I getting this right?

If 11 million people truly voiced opposition to Trump today, I'm extremely curious where that leaves us tomorrow. Will news coverage change tone? Will congresspeople change tone?

It feels to me increasingly like the morning of Jan 6, 2021. I knew bad stuff was going to happen, maybe very bad, but I didn't want to watch, because maybe it would be just predictable bad, but then again... and minute by minute it got worse, so I kept watching, & that was, alas, the right call.

I'm not seeing enough chatter about the future we're going to build after the failed reactionary revolution (and after the Democratic party is either dust or unrecognizable) in the US. It's all "RESIST RESIST RESIST". I want "REBUILD".

"Move fast and break things" only makes sense if what you're building is an inconsequential toy. Facebook (and similar services) grew from inconsequential toy to glue that holds us together pretty imperceptibly over the past couple decades.
