The market always wins — remove government subsidies and the market (that never truly was) drops 32% YoY. While not the only contributing factor, it’s a lesson government subsidies hide the true market realities. It has far more important things to fund & do. thelogic.co/news/analysi... #cdnpoli

Too nice a day to run inside. I was hoping the trails in ODell would be clear, but it was a skating rink on the main trail into the park. Canceled that idea and went through Sunshine and water front instead.

Today is the shortest day of the year north of the equator, where the solstice marks the start of astronomical winter. The winter solstice is when the sun makes its shortest, lowest arc.

The word “solstice” comes from the Latin words “sol” for sun and “stitium” which can mean “pause” or “stop.”

GNB homelessness strategy, A Path Home, is an earnest and well-intentioned plan. It is thoughtful, compassionate. It reflects modern thinking.

The problem is not the diagnosis.

It’s that the strategy not calibrated to the moment we are in. #fredericton #nbpoli

Taxpayers’ funding $55 million for 152 housing units, with 32 units available to seniors and people with disabilities as affordable housing for the “term” said the housing minister.

That’s $361,842/unit. Was there any private money in the deal, or are taxpayers funding the full project? #nbpoli +
