With the Dems, you can pretty much boil down that hoary proverb to "The enemy ... is my friend."

Well, it's a big tent. Wait, no. House. Big house. THE big house.

Meanwhile, Rod Blagojevich is very down with the pardoned life.

You know, with these ICE guys, the more I learn about them, the more I don't care for them.

It occurs to me now that there's a Harlan Ellison joke in there. Or coincidence anyway. (I also picked up the fotonovel of "The City on the Edge of Forever," but I haven't read it yet.)

When you cancel, you're asked to give them the reason on a digital form. I typed, "Ellison."

My (annual) subscription hasn't ended yet. Last night I looked through the menu for any justification (aesthetic) to keep. I really have only watched Trek on there, and I might turn to physical media for that franchise. Haven't decided if I want to check out the new show before the account is gone.

Yeah subscribed to Paramount+ specifically for Star Trek. Recently cancelled my account anyway.

That is accurate Star Trek lore. I recently read the 1977 "fotonovel" of this episode, which is delightful. I got it at a library book sale, where I also bought a ragged copy of 1968's "The Making of Star Trek," which goes into great detail on the saga of the second pilot.

This USDA farce today is I mean mwah chef's kiss because they keep finding new ways to flabbergast. I mean, struggle cuisine is a whole genre in YouTube cookery land. Plus many examples from WW2, if they want to propagandize privation. They are such shit at everything.

Would that it were so.

Heroic figure.

Bailey also appeared in the Sun Ra film Space Is the Place (made in 1972 and released in 1974).

I didn't know that! I certainly remember Sticks. Happy Days was my favorite show until the premiere Laverne and Shirley, although blah blah blah shark jumping Gen X crap. I was long gone by the time Richie was stationed in Greenland, but somehow it made it into my knowledge bank.

Broccoli pieces of the world, unite! You have nothing to lose but your USDA subsidies!

If we forget it, we'll be doomed to repeat it. In syndication. Forever.

Richie Cunningham and Ralph Malph were advance men for the upcoming invasion by the USA. They joined the army and left Milwaukee for Greenland, and Richie married and impregnated Lori Beth over the phone, and that's just canon. Jerry Paris directed it. Later Richie helped JD Vance become VP.

In 5th grade, I got mad at a school bus driver and flipped her the bird. That was the one and only time I got called into the principal's office for a scolding. I guess rank has its privileges.

I read that book in the late '90s (Christmas present), and I felt similarly.
