When poor people fight those of greater means they’re often labeled as terrorists; rightly, I suppose, but also unfairly, since this label usually smears only the underdog. I suppose that if you’re rich enough, the disparity becomes so great, that almost any adversary might seem to you a terrorist.

After reaching a certain age, (75 in my case) if you go to estate sales, you should pass out cards inviting people to join the mailing list for your estate sale. Whenever that should occur, it might just be the best ever!

I grew up in the Midwest. My values came from my parents, the Boy Scouts and the Methodist Church. I thought I understood what it meant to be an American and a Christian. Now it feels like waking up on a bumpy road with someone asleep at the wheel. Where are we? Are we going down in the ditch?
