Followed it up with ‘the forever war’ by Joe Haldeman. Another fantastic book that combines the time dilation effects of near light speed travel with everyday human life

Finished it, an excellent read! Gives off a very futuristic vibe without being outside of the realm of what I would consider possible
Just ordered ‘Old Man’s War’ by @scalzi.com - published 20 years ago this year, looking forward to it a lot

Weird or not… when I go to a restaurant multiple times, I tend to order the same thing - if it was good then, it will be good again. I might be missing out, but I like the predictability

Stuff like this should be possible to detect with a piece of software, one would think and be flagged upon submission. Having done Western blots myself, I would think that if you want to be dishonest, this is the worst way to do it…

Highly recommended - Speaker for the dead by Orson Scott Card. Great insight into cultural differences against a backdrop of some pretty spectacular Sci-Fi concepts (like the relativistic time effects of space travel)

Ok, yes… I like the Reacher books by Lee Child, I like the recent series with Alan Ritchson (a lot) and I even kinda like the movie with Tom Cruise (but not so much as the series), glad I got that out of the way
