I had in mind the first story I wrote for them back in 2008, represented by their sharing of food. Their new story is represented in their new designs and the flowers.

Juthiel and Erinir have arrived just in time for a flower festival.

I was hit with the realization that it has been nearly ten years since I've drawn Hazel and Gat in maid outfits. So I immediately opened a new canvas and went to work.

...I did it.. I made a separate account. If you like fantasy and have liked the original work I post, @troubadoursdescort.bsky.social will have more of that. I will still post opaline flute stuff here for now I think, but all the other originals will be over there. There is a new work there now.

I bought a new clarinet after not playing regularly for 10 years.

Also very close to getting a lever harp so I can pluck strings and sing little songs

...The harp is what led to the clarinet purchase since I'm already experienced in it.

I have to build up my embouchure again but it's nice to play

I started a Hazel drawing last night and I can tell a difference in style from the Hazel I drew 6 months ago. Something is different. Mostly it surprised me, I didn't think my style changed very much.

It's a redraw of a 2017 fanart so I'm pretty excited about it. The flowers and guts one. 🥰

All the shit started in 2013. I survived being unmedicated up until 2022. Now I'm here.

[from 2017] An old, little comic for y’all. Some of y’all have seen it before, but I haven’t posted in a while and I found this again, and thought I’d share.
I loved (and still do) modern hazgat AUs with bittersweet vibes and this was one of those. #saiyuki

Went ahead and watched the final zeroin episode again and I totally blocked out the memory of Gat smiling while telling Hazel he already made his atonement a long time ago and that he can be free of him now like i cannot believe they had him smiling for this whole scene I'm losing it

All right, y'all, I've completed my first entry. I ended up typing some thoughts about episode 10 of Zeroin. A large portion of the post is me narrating what's happening in the episode for context, and so for those of you who didn't watch Zeroin, you won't have to go watch if you wanted to read.

Been listening to the zeroin soundtrack and honestly I love that one of the sad, ambient sounding songs is named "Hazel and Gat"
The composer put into music what I feel is a good representation of the feelings of their relationship. It's a kind of feeling that I try to capture whenever I write them
