Someone from CMG! A specialized team or individual would be hired from their ranks. It's likely that they'd be able to figure whatever's happening, since these guys are usually able to do extremely specific magic, have specific skills, connections, and generally things normal guards do not.

Depends on where but the one thing that's over all romanized the most is the pre-Freezing era in general. That is to say thriving academia, "mysterious" lost cultures, etc. Also a bit of adventurers/mercenaries because often they can be hired to help sort through ruins -> rediscovery of what's gone

Depends on where but the one thing that's over all romanized the most is the pre-Freezing era in general. That is to say thriving academia, "mysterious" lost cultures, etc. Also a bit of adventurers/mercenaries because often they can be hired to help sort through ruins -> rediscovery of what's gone
