Got a finish to share-first in a while-haven’t been able to get to muchactual quilting part for some reason or other. Made with Libs Elliott punk rock inspired fabrics, bits and pieces from a curved sewing class I taught. Kinda digging it…@quiltsky

Done. Well I mean, the top is done. Still have to quilt it. And my friend suggested I should hand quilt it. And she’s right. (Sigh)

Work in progress. Love the fabrics (from Marcia Derse’) against the Essex linen in natural. It’s taking a while to puzzle it together but I’m just letting it percolate…

Spent the last couple of days obsessed with puzzling these pieces together. I taught a class on sewing curves and these were my demo pieces. Love this punk-inspired fabric by Libs Elliott so I wanted to use them. My brain is tired but there’s more to come with these fabulous fabrics…

Timothee, our llama and all our goaties survived their fire trauma. Timothee is even smiling for the camera😛🥰

We had a pretty serious fire blow through our land. Amazingly it burned most of the land and left the house(s) standing , and the livestock all survived. Feeling pretty lucky, despite the loss of trees and grass.

Got a flimsy finished. Glare quilt designed by Latifah Saafir. I don’t do too many other people’s patterns but this was fun!

I’m not able to attend Quiltcon in Phoenix this year…but Bounce is there! If YOU are too, give her a wave for me. She was a labor of joy and quite a challenge and I learned so much in the making of her. Can’t ask for more than that!

New Project Alert! Decided to make the Glare quilt designed by Latifah Saafir. I’m challenging myself to connect the “disks,” colorwise with the outer rings. So far I am loving it! Super fun and just the right amount of challenge. #quiltsky

On the design wall: Remake of my KaPow! quilt pattern. This time using a 5 x 5 square grid. Taking a while, but I think it’s gonna be worth the effort.

Spent all afternoon fixing this and finally got the rows together. Just need to make a couple of little adjustments and I think I may add a (GASP) border. Don’t worry, it will be funky if I do. #quiltsky

Work in progress… fun but exhausting to put the fabrics together, cut them directionally, and figure out how to place them. Guess that’s why I’m enjoying it so much😬😉😁
