Nuxated Iron. An Iron supplement endorsed by athletes such as Jack Dempsey and Ty Cobb. "Nux" refers to Nux Vomica, a tree seed which contains strychnine. Only trace amounts here, but not much iron either. It was finally banned in 1945. #iron #quack #medicines #history
