Hi there! I'm The Verdant Hare! I enjoy digital painting but do traditional art from time to time as well as lineart/cell-shaded pieces. I mostly enjoy drawing critters, as wildlife art or in Fantasy and Scifi settings.

As someone who is quietly doing scifi worldbuilding behind the scenes, this stuff is fascinating and I look forward to the finished stuff. Would love to make backgrounds feel even more real

Ngl it really took it out of me! I love MS paint Classic but it's wild how much art programs have evolved for the better. I don't think I'll be doing something like this again anytime soon. That said having a tablet rather than mouse helped so much.

Thank you! A bit of background I drew the original in 2006 as part of a homemade calendar. My Dad requested one every year and it's the only image from them that I ever uploaded online. He's not about anymore sadly, so I guess the urge to complete it and make it good in that honour was strong.

My Dad had a shoebox of everything I made for him, including a 'stick dog' I made for him from a few sticks, sellotape and fishing line ๐ I need to dig it sometime, I put it out of the way of bunnies and now it's in one of those hard to get to places.

I appreciated it too! I could never understand when I hit 17, why my Dad would still rather a handmade calendar than just simply buying one. But now I get it

Sorry for the radio silence. Long story short, partner is still in much pain. We've had several false diagnosis, but it seems like we're finally getting to see a Specialist. Unfortunately both conditions that are suspected are chronic.
