Annual reminder:

Die Hard is about using impossibly limited resources to defend a tower from foreign invaders.

I'm not convinced that this stuff had any purpose but to serve as a test of whether kids were really sick or faking it. Because no kid would ever try to get out of going to school if it meant a spoonful of this guck.

The most vile substance on the planet, labelled with "Cherry" and "Citrus". 🤮

You can hide bad character with structure for a while…
There is no structure—be it government, church, etc—that can thrive when bad people are in charge.

Conversely, very bad structures can often work if good and godly people are in charge.

Work on structure, to be sure. It is necessary.

But start with character.

Oh great. We’ve now entered into the era of “Crypto bros and self published randos mass following in hopes of building an audience” here on BlueSky.

I really miss the old internet.

As I on a virtually empty bus, listening to a podcast about climate change, I’m struck by the irony - they are talking about the millions and millions of dollars needed to make our economy green.

We already have the basic building blocks. Why don’t we ensure those are optimized first?

This weekend I had the joy of serving with my students as volunteers for the Youth Worker Community Conference - an incredible experience made so much better by an incredible group.

I’m so blessed to do what I do!
