While it would be nice to just get a Steam Machine and be done with all Windows stupidity, as long as I work in the games industry I will still need a regular PC.

Played my first real session of Caves of Qud. It went well until I was randomly teleported deep, deep into a cave god knows where, and was killed by a powerful slime. I guess I shouldn't have added the random teleportation to my character stats, oops. But it was fun!

Decided to try Caves of Qud. I know my reference point forcthis kind of game is, like 35 years old, but it really reminds me a LOT of Castle of the Winds. Both in gameplay and graphical fidelity, hehe. But I’ve only tried the tutorial so far. I expect it to be Castle of the Winds x1000.

Mister FPGA computer case is finally getting somewhere! After many tries the pieces mostly fit together. If the top lid fits, the rest will hopfelly be smooth sailing

I started reading a manga called Coffee Moon. I basically picked it up because of the title. Such a good title, especially since so many manga have so laughably bad ones. Also there's time loop shenanigans, which I approve of.

So I maxed out both sneak and pickpocket in Skyrim, but I still can't get past that one enemy without killing her. That one lock is unpickable and that one key is unstealable unless she's dead. I can literally steal the clothes she's wearing without her noticing, but the key, nope. Boo!

Second piece of the MiSTer computer case came out pretty much perfect, and fits with he first one well enough, too. The keyboard sticks out a bit too much. We'll see how it goes...

I fel particularly accomplished in Skyrim when, after having snuck through an entire dungeon without being seen, the big bad boss berates me for "killing her minions and disrupting her work". I did neither, and I won't even hurt you 😘

Putting all my leveling efforts in Skyrim on sneak. I'm now next to invisible when crouching slightly. Fun! Also I one-shot most enemies while doing that. Strange and a little bit broken, just the way I like it!

Going to 3d print a computer case of my own design for my MiSTer FPGA. All the parts should be ready for printing now. I have all the cables and a nice keyboard. Just bought some off-white filament. It's happening!

Reading Fuyumi Souryo's manga ”Cesare” (two volumes in as of now). The subject matter is a little dry perhaps (scheming nobles and cardinals in renaissance Italy), but the writing is sharp and the art is fantastic. I'm amazed that this is the same creator who made ”Mars”.

You learn a lot as you age, so it's mostly a good thing. But lately I've felt strongly that I'm… not young. I'm tired all the time, my tastes have changed, culture seems off somehow, and whatever young people are doing goes completely over my head. How can something so natural feel so bizarre?

Såg Drömkåken för första gången. Vilken konstig film! Första tredjedelen: misär och svart humor. Resten av filmen: Galen knashumor som jag skrattade högt åt. Det var en så knäpp skiftning att jag först trodde Björn Skifs drömde alltihop efter att ha fallit genom golvet!
