Spiraling – NGC 3718
A warped galaxy in Ursa Major with a twisted dust lane and faint tidal features. HCG 56 is visible to the left; NGC 3729, likely responsible for the distortion, is just out of frame.

Milky Way Meets Glacier

Ever since I first visited this glacier in the Swiss Alps I wanted to go back there at night to see the Milky Way over the glacier. It was a beautiful sight watching our galaxy slowly set behind the icy mountain peaks.

The Ghosts of Cassiopeia 👻

The main nebulosity in the picture is colloquially known as the Ghost Nebula, but in my opinion the surrounding dust area is a whole ghost town.
