Carrying the Work Forward: Reflections on My QEST Residency with Graham Moss
This blog post is based on an article I wrote for 'Small Printer', The British Printing Society Members' Magazine October 2025 Vol 61 No5 In November 2024, I was awarded a Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) scholarship of over £10,000 to work with Graham Moss of Incline Press and develop my skills in typesetting and letterpress printing. It was an opportunity to have time to learn directly from one of the finest letterpress printers I knew, and to bring that knowledge back into both my own studio at…

To Miss Wells
To Miss Wells is a letterpress-printed zine created as part of the Women Artist-Printers Portfolio Project, an initiative led by Senior Research Fellow Angie Butler at the Centre for Print Research, University of the West of England. The project responds to the historically gender-biased traditions of the letterpress printing industry, still visible in contemporary UK print fairs and exhibitions. By centring women letterpress printers and amplifying their voices, the portfolio creates a platform for showcasing their work while foregrounding themes of allyship and solidarity.

‘City of Angels, Hell on Earth’ captures the political deals made by agribusiness in California that contributed to the devastating wildfires in January 2025. Parallels are drawn between the 1990’s novels of Octavia E Butler ‘Parable of the Sower’ & ‘Parable of the Talents’ that should be read as a wake-up call and call to action, a manuals on how to destroy the planet.

Members are upset angry and frankly, absolutely disgusted by behaviour of management. We do not accept nor agree with the way management are approaching the current situation. Management need to stop targeting, stop redundancies, and negotiate on workload, health and safety, equality and precarity.

We condemn the University of Cambridge's attempt to place legal restrictions on all pro-Palestine protests.

Alongside @pscupdates.bsky.social and @libertyhq.bsky.social we call out this application to the High Court for an injunction what it is: a shameful attack on basic democratic rights.
