I wanted to like Down Cemetery Road. Slow Horses is one of my favorite shows, and I love Emma Thompson. But it's pretty bad! The finale had me yelling at the TV at several points, I was that incensed at the stupidness being depicted on-screen. Alas!

What kind of twisted hell realm are we living in? This cruel image was posted by The White House nine days ago. It's a real photo that uses a ChatGPT filter based on Studio Ghibli movies. Which I'm sure was trained without any regard for copyright. Stop the world, I want to get off.

Hey friends -- if any of you have given your bank account details to the federal government to speed up tax returns, Social Security payments, etc... it's time to change accounts and not let them have that information going forward. www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news...
I found a ‘dead’ person on Social Security in Seattle
“Dead” Ned Johnson turns out to be very much alive. It took him weeks to convince the system he was breathing and to start clawing his benefits back.

I needed to start following & supporting writers who publish in alternative media because other outlets I'm following don't have much in the way of ideas about what to DO. So I paid for Anand Giridharadas's Substack blog, The.Ink. This is the truth-telling we need right now. the.ink/p/focus-on-t...

Another day, another social network. At least this one is federated! Though since they created the federation protocol themselves, I wonder how useful it is at this point. Guess I'll have to find out!
