Ex ITV & BBC crew. Winner of teaching award. Currently back at Uni getting an MSc in AI in Creative Industries (I want a say in the AI business.) Loves a good story.
Greg Epstein talks in his book ‘Tech Agnostic’ about how the tech bros talk about tech like a religion. The idea that they could make something with “super intelligence” like they can create god is actually something they believe. The problem is, this is considered a normal belief.

Just read the WI’s press release. Sounds like some terfs have strong armed them into this decision, which they are gutted about. This is really sad because the law is going against the will of the people. The 1948 universal declaration says the government should reflect the will of the people.

More men should read bell hooks.

My train was cancelled. My London adventures will need to wait. Something has gone horribly wrong on the line. Delays and cancellations.

Heading off to old London Town to help out a mate, but also, have a look around, although I’ll try and avoid the crazy busy bits as much as I can.

Just watched a documentary on the BBC and asked “Are the rich turning on each other?” Do they want to point at some people and say “They’re bad rich, we’re good rich”? Interesting

I do find the ‘Where Love Lives’ John Lewis advert a bit sinister where the sound goes a bit muffled and the Dad is on the dance floor on his own, like the son has become a drug addict and will never be seen again.

I went to Bletchley Park today and I was surprised at how moved I was. It was wonderful to see and walk around where Alan Turing would have walked and worked on his physical AI machine #CreativeGenius

Just saw on social media somebody refer to strippers as “Midnight ballerinas” and honestly? I really think that gives the kudos to their art they haven’t been given. I love it! Midnight Ballerinas.

Just caught up on Celeb Traitors. I’m not sure it could have been any more entertaining. I also loved how Alan was so uncomfortable with lying. I find that very relatable. I also found Nick’s confusion and questioning of one’s self so relatable. It was just an overall brilliant watch.

I’ve never actually seen any ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ so I’m rectifying that.

Not gonna lie, I was worried this election would be meddled with. I’m so excited for NYC because this isn’t about one man being in charge it’s about one man leading the charge with the city acting as the army behind him #Mandani

My mate’s dad has died and she said she didn’t really know what happens when a person dies. So I’ve made her a PDF. It’s weird because you don’t necessarily know and you realise because everything is digital now, it could be quite a challenge for elderly relatives.

There’s something quite comforting about sitting next to my partner’s snoozing Nanna in a silent, overly warm lounge whilst my partner potters in the kitchen.

I’m not a big fan of Opera but there are some bangers that are undeniably good.

Made Viennese fancies for the first time. I’m patting myself on the back. They were really good

I saw Prunella Scales in ‘A Woman of No Importance’. What a play that was. Totally blew me away. Sometimes you just don’t get it until you’re in a theatre, watching with your own eyes. I was late to the fandom but I am happy to admit that. RIP Prunella Scales.

My local cinema is playing this tomorrow. My partner has booked to go with me and bless her she’s done this for me, but she doesn’t love it like I do. It has dated, I hold my hands up but it’s a film about inspirational academics who actually *do* something.

There is a certain age where kids drawings are pure *chef’s kiss* This picture of me and my partner outside our flat (she’s on the left) is by Daisy age 5 and I love it.

It used to be that if something was free it was because your data was worth it. Now it feels like we have to download apps to pay for everything so we’re paying twice. I’m not cool with this. I want an option for privacy. It’s a human right that is being eroded and too regularly. When will it stop?

The florist down the road from me always makes such lovely arrangements.

I’ve downloaded Tidal because I don’t like the ethics of Spotify. My partner still has Spotify so we played the intro to the same tune to see if we could hear the quality difference on the Sonos speaker. Big noticeable difference. Tidal’s quality is superior, Spotify sounded muffled in comparison.

I’m on the 18:57 to Leeds at Manchester Victoria. Just wondering when everyone on the train behind me will realise they’re on the 19:57 to Leeds and suddenly start flooding onto this train. I hope someone tell them.

Seeing the image of the east wing facade of the White House being torn down is so incredibly symbolic it’s fascinating to see. Nobody thought democracy was this fragile until Trump took a bulldozer to it.

Mobile phone mast has gone down. Trying to log into app to tell them. They’ve said they’ve texted me a number to verify it’s me
