Chief of Staff | Rec & Parks Board | Environmentalist | I miss Obama | Overwhelmed by the number of social media accounts I have to have | Here will live my political commentary.
Unemployment is at the highest it's been in 4 yrs. Nobody can afford to buy a home. Groceries cost more than going to a restaurant. Childcare costs your 1st born child. The Gov is shut down... and $250M is being spent on a new ballroom in the White House.

White House begins demolishing East Wing facade to build Trump’s ballroom
The president had claimed construction of the $250 million ballroom wouldn’t “interfere” with the existing White House structure.

Republicans are voting to raise the debt ceiling by $5 Trillion while trying to make us believe things will be cheaper. The math ain't mathin'.

It was such a beautiful evening at Oregon Ridge tonight for the Oregon Ridge Nature Council's annual meeting and celebration where incredible volunteers and scholars were recognized. They even unveiled the new name and logo they will be using moving forward. They are now The Friends of Oregon Ridge!

Listening to Congressman Olszewski give constituents his first 100 days report. Our amazing Lt. Gov Aruna Miller also gave an update on how the Federal Administration is impacting Maryland.

After 90 days of a tough session going line-by-line through the state budget I am now here as madam County Executive Kathy Klausmeier presents the Baltimore County Budget.

There is no roller coaster quite like a legislative session in Annapolis (especially when Sine Die coincides with the National Championship game)

Perhaps we should ensure cyclists have safe and clear dedicated bike lanes so they don't need to move into traffic lanes.

Also today I had to pick up my dad's prescription. After 18 surgeries yes, he gets prescribed opioids for when he needs them because pain is so excruciating. Well, now, it is required you buy a $60 narcan with any opioid prescription... So just another way big pharma is getting theirs.

My mom is disabled so just bringing her own bag isn't that simple. She has to order groceries online and have them brought out to the car...and she got charged for three different bags.

Just heard a Trump supporter call in on the radio talking about how politicians have forgot about serving people and have become celebrities and only work for themselves

Sir, you literally voted for a celebrity who works for his own interests.

Today I joined a conversation about the State of Recycling. I was quite sad it was just a lesson about what can be recycled about how we need to reduce and not a discussion about how to handle the plastics we do receive. ... 1/2

Murder is not justified.

Fury at the health care industry and its practices is.

The take away shouldn't be companies should take down leadership pages and beef up security...it should be overhauling a health care system that allowed AI to deny as many claims as possible to bolster the bottom line.

Elon pays $0 in taxes and Tesla and SpaceX receive $5.9B in government subsidies a year.

I feel like we can cut this down if billionaires pay their fair share and don't just take.

And guys like Bezos could pay enough so workers aren't forced to get government assistance.

China couldn't care less about tariffs. Even if it doesn't raise prices, China will subsidize every tariff because they want to secure their market share. We need to work to modernize our manufacturing and economy rather than live in a dream world where things will be like they were in the 50s.

Sadly smoking is very very very much on the rise as well, especially with young people. Vaping really is a gateway to cigarettes.

Sorry Kelly, government is there to help our people in need. If lowering prescription prices will decrease $ for life sciences research then it should step in and supplement funding. We shouldn't be doing it by taking those who need it broke with high drug costs.
