PS: Thanks for the gift! I'll send you a pic when I'm out and about with it.

Redoing my budget because I just checked and my health insurance seems to have gone up by more than they originally told me when I renewed... woof. The only reason I checked was I just got a 'we know your premium has increased but don't panic' email from them just now and I thought wait... again?

Fun fact: The other WTF?! VHS share house film watching experience from around that time was Bad Boy Bubby.

Also, Cottees repurposed jam jar glassware from the 90s was the best! Break one? Just buy another jar of jam. My dad still has at least four of them. I still drink my Milo from them when I visit.

Pre-hobbit Peter Jackson. Not sure why that just popped into my mind. A reminder that we all start somewhere, I guess.
December 11, 2025 at 4:08 PM
The first Peter Jackson film I ever saw was Meet the Feebles. On VHS. In a share house in Canberra, early 90s, between college end/work life begin. 3 of us watching on mismatched couches drinking (prob. Jim Beam out of old jam jars?), eyes glued to the screen. Saying WTF!? at the same time.

The other reason I love this time of year is that I get all riled up about planning projects for next year. Got a couple of good ones in the brain box if I can figure out how to pull them off without bankrupting myself.
