one of the worst feelings as an artist is when you have lots of ideas for what you want to draw but no time, then when you have the time you have no motivation, then when you have the motivation you have no ideas

Casting a black woman (or non-white people in general for broader terms) in a role traditionally played by white actors where the actual race of a character isn’t important to the story, with casting a white actor in a role where the fact a character isn’t white is important to the story. (2)

Are ones who are in a setting that clearly isn’t meant to be close to our world.

But the point is that in this situation it’s unfair to compare your example to the one in the original post. While the person/ character you’re talking about clearly has ties to a real world culture that hasn’t received much representation in media, the characters in the original post (1)

Of the story. Meanwhile for real historical figures like you’re talking about their culture, race and/ or ethnicity would be important.

I think the difference between these roles and the one you’re talking about is the importance of race for the character/ person. Wicked and HTTYD and clearly fantasy settings, where the race/ ethnicity of the characters doesn’t impact the plot, and their race isn’t also important for the content (1)
