Been reading this list this evening. Even accepting these lists are often erratic, I still can't believe a contender for Tom Waits best ever album (Mule Variations) didn't make the cut as a top 500 album of the 1990s. Tom is the type of elder statesman artist that Uncut love too 🤔

Riding On the Equator is easily in my top 10 tracks of the 1980s. Hearing its blissful 4 minute instrumental coda for the 1st time in a while is a real joy.
