We all need each other. In the last trade agreement between the US and Canada that TRUMP negotiated, we agreed to buy their lumber (cheaper to import than to harvest more here), and they agreed to buy our milk (we make more than we use). Neighbors helping neighbors. A nice idea, don't you think?
