The discourse around the Home Run Derby is driving me insane because people are completely forgetting how slow and boring the Derby used to be. It had its bright spots here and there, but it took so long and wasn’t nearly as exciting as it is now.

I do genuinely prefer the timed format for the HR Derby over the old format, but man, it makes it absolutely impossible to film it when there are multiple baseballs going off at one time. It also doesn’t help when the cameramen can’t track the ball for the life of them.

People stayed up to watch the Braves game while I watched Superman Returns, and somehow, I had the better time.

People stayed up to watch the Braves game while I watched Superman Returns, and somehow, I had the better time.
At this point, the most hilarious outcome for the Braves is that the offense comes alive with Profar back and scores 5+ runs a game, but their pitching falls apart with the rotation battered and still go .500 the rest of the way.
