As expected, ACIP have voted through big changes to childhood vaccines schedule with more actions slated today. Firstly, no more combined MMRV - (mumps measles rubella chickenpox) for first dose- instead MMR and chickenpox to be given separately but option for 2nd dose & the combined shot remains 🧪🧵

As expected, ACIP have voted through big changes to childhood vaccines schedule with more actions slated today. Firstly, no more combined MMRV - (mumps measles rubella chickenpox) for first dose- instead MMR and chickenpox to be given separately but option for 2nd dose & the combined shot remains 🧪🧵
I think the FCC shouldn’t have this much power. Last I checked, its mandate doesn’t cover the threats Brendan Carr is making right now. This is risky and should stay as threats, nothing more.

FCC Chair Brendan Carr should understand his threats are unconstitutional, they violate the First Amendment and he’s clearly overstepping. He needs to put it in his skull that power is transient, unless there’s a plan to turn America into North Korea, which I don’t know of.

What Trump is doing is flat-out wrong. For four years, right-wing media criticized Biden’s every move, launched constant attacks on him and VP Harris, and not once did Biden suggest revoking their broadcast licenses. That’s the difference between criticism and authoritarian control.

Using a death (especially one that is still under investigation) as leverage for political agendas (scapegoating, fundraising, crackdown on activists) is morally risky and polarizing.
