Oh! Did I mention... I GOT A JOB!

I started on March 2nd. I am still in training mode until the end of the month, but I love the people I am working with and the job I am training to do.

I am not sure what is worse:

Researching a company for a job listing and, in under 60 seconds, finding out it is a scam.

(or)

Seeing people with a "higher education" level applying for the job.

Having a piece of paper does not make you more intelligent than me.

I am learning to spot scammers while looking for legitimate jobs.

1. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
2. Scammers will do anything to get your personal information.
3. Research EVERYTHING!
4. Even LinkedIn has scammers.

Job hunting is exhausting. I miss the newspaper and pen days.

Spending time with friends yesterday was a fantastic day indeed.

There were lots of great conversations, smiles, and laughs.

I really do have some great friends!

Anyone else feels looking for a job is a full-time job in itself.

I spend between 3 and 5 hours on several websites, and I am all but ready for bed by the time I am done.

...when your job-hunting assistants are useless. 😀

But at least I can lie in bed and watch TV while I hope it subsides.

When you actively take a step back to recharge for the weekend, it turns out pretty good.

That moment when you are juggling learning a new skill AND writing a book AND trying to find a job AND taking care of your mental health... AND wanting to get back into streaming for a little extra money for bills!

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can! Choo choo!

Even if I have writer's block, typing out random thoughts and crazy ideas can sometimes help me overcome it!

This picture holds so much weight for me, as this book represents everything that was scary and traumatic in my life, but I am writing about it.

No one said it would be easy.

Not much writing was done today. Although it was a nice brain break from trauma, other things occupied my mind.

I will get back to it tomorrow, and I have opted to use "fake names" for my "real story."

Let's avoid those potential lawsuits, shall we?

My book needed to flow better to make me happy with the progress.

I created a better chapter list that draws the reader's attention to particular people and incidents. I am shuffling a few things, but I am pleased with the chapter layout.

I think I am going to use real names. Thoughts?

I started this book as my therapy in 2021. Due to its personal nature, my progress was very slow.

On the 23rd of October, I decided to continue with more passion and finish by the end of the year. Although that timeline might be out of reach, I am pushing hard to complete it.
