I’ve been on a social media ban since my birthday on the 20th for obvious reasons. Being off really helps your mental health and your reading goals. I’ve already read 37 out of 52 books for the year. Escaping into stories is better than the dumpster fire we’re currently living in.

Ya’ll it’s week 2 of 2025 can we leave your shit opinions about sex in the past? Bunch of pearl clutchers. Leave romance books alone. Let people explore their sexuality without being judged. In this house, we don’t kink shame and neither should you!

Sitting in our car in Portland eating a donut while it snows when I look at my husband and just start crying. No matter where we are, he will always be home. Emotions are weird. That is all, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

I moved to the north for cold weather and snow. It hasn’t snowed here since Christmas Eve and all the snow we did get melted. I am sad. Where’s my snow at? 🥲

The images and videos coming out of LA right now are apocalyptic and scary as hell. Sending all my thoughts to all those affected by these devastating fires and hoping all get to safety.

I don’t even want to think about what is going to happen after January 20th and for the next four years when another inevitable natural disaster occurs. 😔

What is your safety meal? That one meal you can eat when nothing is appetizing to you. For me, it’s spaghetti with meat sauce. No matter what I can always eat this, and it’s always satisfying when everything else sounds or smells disgusting to me.

We’re seeing deadly effects of climate change and America re-elected a buffoon that doesn’t believe in science let alone climate science. Yeah, we’re fucked.

I will never not be that person that looks out the window with glee and shouts, “It’s snowing!” when I see snow falling from the sky. 🥹 It’s so magical each and every time!

The husband walks in when I’m listening to an audiobook at 2.5x so I can get through the last 30 minutes. He looks at me and says you can’t possibly understand that. So, I pause the audio and repeat back the entire sentence I just heard. Him: 👀 Me: 😏

For the fourth year in a row, we’re celebrating the Icelandic tradition called Jolabokaflod known as the Christmas Book Flood. We picked out books for one another, and now we’ll spend the rest of Christmas Eve reading together. 📚 🎄🤶🏻🎅🏻☃️❄️

Has anyone else not gone to the movie theater after covid? I just can’t be bothered to sit in a theater for that long surrounded by people that chew too loudly, talk too loudly, and/or turn their phones on full brightness during the movie. I’d rather wait to stream it in the comfort of my own home.
