Void Mirror

The absolute darkness of Black 4.0, coated with resin, makes a fantastic and creepy mirror, wrapped in a gothic frame of faux bronze. Epoxy resin, air dry clay, acrylic paint on MDF and Tas oak, 60 x 40cm

The Man From Corinth

His face protrudes from the page, and the sculpted teeth hang before a Black 4.0 void. Acrylic, epoxy, polymer clay and air-dry clay on particle board, 29 x 39 cm

Inspired by the character from the Sandman comic, whose odd denizens cling to my memory all these years later.

I call this work "Refuge". Even if it exists only in the mind's eye, there is always a place of tranquility to be found.
